Thomas Tarver
Early Mississippi & Louisiana Land Records

A current project is identifying and distinguishing between the various Thomas Tarvers of Mississippi and Louisiana, primarily the early to mid 1800's, but also looking at later records.

While the naming patterns of our ancestors help us identify them, an unfortunate byproduct is the difficulty in distinguishing the records of one from another, especially when the families reside in the same areas and are of similar age.

My goal is to assist with assigning these men to their appropriate families. If you have information on a Thomas Tarver from South Carolina to Mississippi to Louisiana, that might assist with this project, please email me at <lotus@cirilo.net>. Thanks!
