Tarver-Gen: Tarver Family Research http://www.tarver-genealogy.net -------------------- : MARRIAGES - JOHN TARVER & EASTER SHADOCKS (Esther Green Chaddick) -------------------- 20 Jan 1811 Mississippi Territory } Amite County } Know all men by these presents, that we John Tarver and Allen Tarver, both of the County and Territory aforesaid, are held & firmly bound unto the Governor of the Mississippi Territory & his Successors in office, in the penal sum of Two hundred dollars, which payment, will and truly to be made we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and Severally by these presents -Sealed with our Seals & dated the 20th day of January 1811. The 1800 Census of Barnwell District, SC reveals that Richard and Esther had 3 male children under 10 yrs; 1 male child 11 to 16 yrs of age; and 1 daughter 11-16 yrs. of age. Richard Chaddick died in Barnwell, SC ca March 21, 1804. Among their children were Richard Chaddick, Jr. who married Faribou Rogers, and Sarah Chaddick who married Jesse Young. These came to Amite Co., MS with their mother after their father's death. John Tarver also was widowed with children at the time of his marriage to Esther Green Chaddick.
