Crenshaw -------------- State of Virginia Essex County LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JAMES FARGESON In the name of God amen, the twelfth day of November in the year of our Lord God one thousant seven hundred and forty, I, James Fargesson of Goochland County, Virginia, being of sick and weak of body but sound and perfect of memory and the certainty of death I have thought fit to make, ordain, constitute, and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following. Item, I give and bequeath to eldest son James Fargesson my pistols and holsters and four head of sheep. Item, I give and bequeath to my eldest daughter Elizabeth Scanland Craine one cow and calf. I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Cropon one shilling but if my beloved Ann Fargesson thinks fit to give her the bed whereon they now lay, she may use her pleasure. I give and bequest to my son John my riding horse and saddle and all the rest of my whole estate both real and personal, I leave to my dear beloved wife Ann Fargesson during the time of her widowhood and after her death to equally divided among the children that now live with her and of this my last will and testament, I do make Executors my dear beloved wife, Ann Fargesson and my son James Fargesson.
