LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF THOMAS TARVER
In the name of God amen I Thomas Tarver of Northampton County in North Carolina considering that it is appointed for men once to die do make and ordain this my last will & testament hereby making all other wills by me heretofore made Impremis
I desire that my body may be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter mentioned and nexed that all my Just debts be paid & as for the rest of my Estate that I may be possessed with I give & dispose of in manner following to wit--
I give unto my son Jacob Tarver my negro boy Sam to him & his heirs & assigns forever.
I give to my son Thomas Tarver my land and plantation whereon I now live also my Negroes York & Tath & their increase & also all the rest of my Estate both real and personal To him & his heirs & assigns forever--
I nominate and appoint my Son Thomas Tarver Exor. of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 9th day of January 1782.

THOMAS4 TARVER (SAMUEL3, THOMAS2, WILLIAM1) was born abt. 1712 in Surry Co., VA, and died abt. Sep 1782 in Northampton Co., NC,. He is said to have married SARAH LONG Bef. 1732, daughter of ARTHUR LONG and MARY ALLEN.
