NOTES
Rebecca Hicks, b. circa 1778 in Viginia, married MICAJAH WELLS TARVER, son of Billison Tarver and Selah Vassar.
Micajah Tarver is enumerated on the 1810 census of Anson Co., North Carolina as MICHAEL TARVER. In 1820, he is enumerated in Richmond Co., North Carolina. Micajah and son Alfred Tarver both appear on the 1830 NC index. A Micajah Tarver household is found on the 1840 census of Richmond Co., NC, p. 232, Steele's District, but unknown if it is this Micajah. The will of Wells Tarver, written in 1847, is recorded in Chambers Co., Alabama - an abstract of which may be found in Abstract of Chambers Co., Ala Will Books 1 & 2 (by Nell Orr), 76 p. 274:
Wells Tarver, dec'd. Joseph A Holifield adm. 28 Sept. 1847. Bond $6,000. Signed: Joseph A Holifield, Alsea Holifield, Green D Brantley. C C Forbes, J.C.C.

Wells Roberson Tarver and Elizabeth Garrett had at least seven children, five of whom lived around Tippah County, Mississippi and Van Zandt County, Texas. They were Amanda Tarver married Henry Edward Owen; Wells Tarver married S. B. Morton; Mary A. Tarver married J. W. Davenport; Margaret Tarver who married John Little; and Benjamin L Tarver who married S. Elizabeth Perrett.
Thomas W Tarver (b. 1819) who marr. Louiza Smith August 10, 1845 in Upson Co., Georgia, was a son of Alfred Tarver (above). They had at least five children. Thomas and Louiza moved their family to Mississippi. Children lived around Pontotoc, Itawamba and Union counties, Mississippi. Their five children were
