FREDERICK TARVER'S WILL

In the name of God amen. I Frederick Tarver being weak of body but of a sound mind and memory do make this my last will and Testament,

First My Will and desire is that all my worldy debts be paid.

Second I give and bequeath unto my Brother John Tarver all my lands in the State of Georgia to him and his Heirs forever.

Third I give and bequeath unto my Brother Benjamin Tarver two negroe Girls by the names of Beck and Amy to him and his Heirs forever.

Fourth I give and bequeath unto my Brother Andrew Tarver all the residue of my estate to him and his Heirs forever.

Fifth I do make and ordain my Brother Andrew Tarver my whole and sole executor to this my last Will and Testament As Witness my hand and Seal this 28th day of August 1794.

This will of Frederick Tarver dec'd was proved by the Oath of William Saunders one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, at the same time Andrew Tarver was duly qualified as Executor thereof. Ordered to be Certified and Recorded.

NOTES

We have no indication that Frederick Tarver ever married. His will names no wife or children. His parents were Elizabeth Jordan and Andrew Tarver Sr. (s/o Mary Boyce and Samuel Tarver).

Frederick's siblings were:

  • Andrew Tarver marr. Elizabeth Hartwell (to Troupe Co., Georgia)
  • Benjamin Tarver (possibly Washington Co., Georgia)
  • John Tarver marr. Elizabeth Jordan (to Wilkes Co., Georgia)
  • Elizabeth Tarver marr. Absalom Harris (Elizabeth believed to have died in Greenville Co., Virginia, Absolom remarried, went to Hancock Co., Georgia)
  • Linda Tarver marr. John Lowe (to Madison Co., Mississippi)
  • Mary Tarver marr. Jacob Tarver (to Wilkes Co., Georgia)
  • Sarah Tarver marr. _____ Loyd
  • Patience Tarver
