NOTES
This property, transferred by two brothers, John and William Tarver, to their sister's husband, Mark Sims, originally belonged to their father, John Tarver but was left to Frederick Tarver upon the death of their parents. When Frederick died he left all of his land and plantation on the north north side of Neuse River to his brother John. His brother William received all the land and plantation on the south side of Neuse River where Frederick lived. According to the terms of his will, the remainder of Frederick's estate was to be sold and divided between his other brothers and sisters. (See Probate: Wills & Estates.)
