p. 370f - File 182 - LOTT TARVER estate deceased year 1846 E. L. TARVER administrator of the estate of LOTT TARVER, deceased, 1866 ELIZA TARVER in petition is widow of LOTT TARVER. R. M. NEILSON Judge of Probate, D. C. BRAMLETT is Justice of Peace. The estate of LOTT TARVER deceased advertised a sale October term 1866, Amite County. Eliza L. TARVER, administrator.

p. 371 - ALLEN TARVER deceased estate and minor heirs year 1837 Petition before the Honorable JOHN WALKER, Judge of Probate, Amite County, state of Mississippi, August 1846. MARK TARVER, CAROLINE TARVER, MELISSA TARVER, JAMES R. TARVER, and MARY now wife of JAMES H. WESTBROOK formerly MARY TARVER are the children of one ALLEN TARVER deceased late of Amite County who departed this life sometime in the year 1837 leaving a last will and testament, q.d., Widow ANNA TARVER and JOHN TERRELL executors of the last will and testament. Inventory and appraisement of the estate of SALLY TARVER, February term Probate Court 1846.

p. 372 - File 154, Case 177 - DEMPSEY TARVER deceased and minor heirs estate year 1854 - Estate of DEMPSEY TARVER deceased advertised for sale on 22 January 1855, with his residence in Franklin County, in the Liberty Advocate December 23, 1854, by James M. Jones, guardian of the persons and estate of MARY A., MARK M., JAMES and MARTHA TARVER, minors and legal distributees of the estate of DEMPSEY TARVER late of the County of Franklin deceased who died in testate. Only parties interested in settlement of said estate are JOHN TARVER, ELVIRA RED, LEVI L. RED, her husband of Lawrence County, ALLEN TARVER of Pike County, WILLIAM TARVER, JOHN WACTOR and ELIZABETH WACTOR, MARY A., MARK M., JAMES and MARTHA TARVER, GEORGE F. WELLS, solicitor for the petitioners. Citations for the Probate Court September term 1854. M.P.BATES, guardian of MARY A. TARVER, MARK M. TARVER, JAMES TARVER and MARTHA TARVER of Amite County, Mississippi. WILLIAM TARVER, JOHN WACTOR, ELIZABETH WACTOR, MARY A. TARVER, MARK M. TARVER, JAMES TARVER and MARTHA TARVER of the County of Franklin, ALLEN TARVER of Pike County, JOHN TARVER, ELVIRA RED and LEVI L. RED of Lawrence County, Miss.

p. 377 - JAMES TARVER deceased estate year 1872 On the 11 of Sept 1866 ELIJAH L. TARVER guardian of the persons and estate of WILLIAM M. WESTBROOK and CAROLINE M. WESTBROOK shows that the said wards and heirs at law and distributees of the estate of JAEMS R. TARVER deceased late of Amite County. That JAMES R. TARVER died intes-tate, that the persons interested in the said lands of JAMES R. TARVER are CAROLINE M. WESTBROOK, WILLIAM M. WESTBROOK of Amite County and state aforesaid and for whom your petitioner is guardian. NAPOLEON B. WILSON, JANE ANN WILSON, which JANE ANN is a non compos mentis and for whom said NAPOLEON B. WILSON is guardian, both of the state and county aforesaid, and WILLIAM J. WESTBROOK, CAROLINE WESTBROOK, MELISSA TUCKER (sic) and MINERVA TARVER of the state of Louisiana and WILLIAM M. WESTBROOK whose residence is beyond the limits of the state of Mississippi and unknown to your petitioner. Distributees of the estate of JAMES R. TARVER. Another item lists JAMES TARVER final settlement throught his guardian JAMES M. JONES as of December 1858, Amite County. Guardian account and final settlement of JAMES M. JONES, Probate Court, Amite County, December term 1858 including were amounts received from SARAH TARVER and CHARLES W. TARVER estates, proved Probate Court Jan. term 1859. Said ward JANE TARVER has arrived at the age of twenty one years as of December 1858. JAMES M. JONES late guardian. GEORGE M. WEST solicitor for the petitioner.

p. 378 - File 182 - BENJAMIN TARVER estate deceased 26 January 1846. Inventory LOTT TARVER guardian of ALFRED G., JANE L., MARY C., and LUCINDA TARVER minor heirs of BENJAMIN TARVER deceased. Report of annual settlement by LOTT TARVER Feb. 8, 1847, Amite County. Paid out $409. Petitioned J. WALKER, Judge of Probate for reimbursement.

p. 383 - File 187 - MARK M. TARVER estate deceased and heirs year 1848. Inventory and appraisement of the estate filed Probate Court, Amite County, Sept term 1847, included three negroes valued at $1000 and one lot of wild hogs valued at $10. Inventory acknowledged by ELISHA L. TARVER, 27 Sept 1847. Order for appraisal dated 26 July 1847. Citation issued 25 Nov. 1847 cites D. W. SMITH guardian ad litum of JAMES R. TARVER and MELISSA TARVER minor. JAMES H. WESTBROOK and MARY his wife and JASPER S. W. WESTBROOK and CAROLINE his wife to answer the petition of E. L. TARVER administrator of MARK M. TARVER deceased. Signed D. W. SMITH clerk. MELISSA TARVER a minor last settlement May term 1847 $307.

p. 383 - File 187 - Case 91 - MARY E. TARVER and others versus JOHN CAMPBELL 1867 - MARY E. TARVER and ??????TARVER her husband, MARTHA E. CAMPBELL and WILLIAM A. CAMPBELL her husband, ARAKE WILSON, MELISSA A. WILLSON, SARAH J. WILSON, RACHEL M.L.WILSON JOHN J. C. WILSON and SUDNEY SCOTT WILSON minors by JAMES E. BATES their next friend, all of the County of Amite and state of Mississippi, that the said MARY E., MARTHA E., ARAKE E., MELISSA A., SARAH J., RACHEL M.L., JOHN J. C., and SUDNEY SCOTT are children and heirs at law of JOHN C. WILSON, late of Amite County who died intestate, that JOHN C. WILSON deceased and one JOHN CAMPBELL of Amite County were joint owners of a certain tract or parcel of land in Amite County, southwest quarter of section 23 in the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of section 26 all in township 3, of range 5 east, 360 acres more or less.

p. 385 - File 188 - SARAH TARVER estate deceased year 1854. Contains a petition of JAMES M. JONES who states that in the year 1851 he was appointed guardian to the person and property of CHARLES WESLEY TARVER a minor child under the age of fourteen years of DEMPSEY TARVER deceased late of the county of Franklin by Honor of the Probate Court of Franklin County, that said CHARLES WESLEY TARVER departed this life sometime about July 1852 in said county of Franklin in testate and that CHARLES WESLEY is entitled to one twelfth part of his father's estate who departed this life before the said CHARLES WELSEY and that your petitioner is the administrator of the estate of the above named DEMPSY TARVER amd guardian of all his minor children and further that he has expended money from said estate to defray the physicians bill and funeral expenses of his said ward, that the petitioner being the judge of the Probate Court of Franklin County and administrator of the estate of the said DEMPSY TAYLOR (sic). Inventory of the estate of CHARLES W. TARVER deceased dated 14 Feb. 1853. JAMES M. JONES administrator. Final settlement of the estate of CHARLES W. TARVER.deceased filed April term 1854, Probate Court, Amite County, Miss. Also the petition of JAMES M. JONES appointed guardian over the person and property of SARAH TARVER a minor child under fourteen years of DEMPSY TARVER deceased late of Franklin County sometime in the year 1851, and further that said SARAH departed this life about the 22 day of January 1853 in Franklin County, Miss. in testate entitled to a distributees share of her father's estate, the late DEMPSY TARVER, possibly $350 to $375. JAMES M. JONES appointed administrator of SARAH TARVER deceased 14 February 1853, Amite County, Miss. Final settlement SARAH TARVER deceased estate April term 1854, Probate Court, Amite County, Miss.

p. 385 - ELISHA L. TARVER estate deceased year 1851. Inventory ordered by Judge of Probate, Amite County 20 Oct. 1851. HANNAH F. TARVER and ELIJAH L. TARVER administrators of the estate of ELISHA L. TARVER. ELISHA L. TARVER departed this life intestate in Amite County. HANNAH is the widow of said deceased. ELIJAH the brother of said deceased. Considerable personal estate eighteen slaves, eleven head of horses, fifty head of hogs, thirty-five head of cattle, fifty head of shgeep, two thousand bushels of corn, fifteen hundred pounds of fodder valued at about $15,000. Inventory and appraisement of ELISHA L. TARVER deceased totaled $12,960. Dated 1st day Nov. 1851. Probate Court Dec. 1851. HANNAH F. TARVER, administratrix, ELIJAH L. TARVER, administraor of the estate of ELISHA L. TARVER, deceased, that your petitioner HANNAH F. TARVER and your petitioner ELIJAH L. TARVER and ELIZABETH RICHMOND wife of WILLIAM RICHMOND who resides in the state of Louisiana are the only heirs at law of said intestate. FInal settlemnt of ELISHA L. TARVER guardian of MELISSA TUCKER formerly MELISSA TARVER recorded 17 Dec. 1849. November 19, 1849 received of ELISHA L. TARVER, guardian of MELISSA TARVER $40.37 it being in full payment of the balance due JOHN MOORE late administrator of the estaete of ALLEN TARVER deceased on final settlement, JAN 12 1849 E.L.TARVER as guardian for MELISSA TARVER paid a LEVI M. SWARTZ $4.00 fpr one bridal martingale and blanket. Inventory of the esate of ELISHA L. TARVER deceased reported Nov term 1857, Amite County, total $12,960. including six lots of books valued at $80. On March 5, 1851, LIBERTY, ELISHA L. TARVER, ELISHA GARDNER and SYLVESTER GARDNER, borrowed money from the esate of B. T. CRAWFORD deceased through M, M. CRAWFORD, executrix, total of $839.75.

p. 389 - File 189 - WEST TARVER estate year 1809. WEST TARVER deceased late of Amite County died intestate. NANCY TARVER admnistratrix 13 day Nov 1809. Appraisement Jan. 16, 1810, bu JOSHUA COLLINS and JESSE WINBORNE., JR. several parcels of old and new books, household goods, dutch oven, appraisement of the estate of WEST TARVER, deceased, signed by JAMES LEA, Esq., NANCY (her mark) TARVER and JOHN (his mark) COCKERHAM and HENRY (his mark) COCKERHAM being securities for NANCY TARVER to the sum of $500 on Nove. 13, 1809, as administrator of the estate of WEST TARVER, deceased.

p. 392 - File 190 - MARK M. TARVER estate deceassed. 26 July 1847, Administrator's bond by ELISHA L. TARVER, administrator of the goods and credits of MARK M. TARVER deceased of Amite County. LEVI WHITTINGTON and EDMUND L.S. WESTBROOK securities, $1500 bond. Petition of ELISHA L. TARVER, half brother of MARK M. TARVER late of Amite County deceased, that there are two sisters who are married. MARK. M. TARVER departed this life during July 1847 intestate.
