Henry J. Cockerham
Funeral services for Henry J. Cockerham, 85, lifelong resident of Trout, who died at 2 p.m. May 16, were held May 17 at 2 p.m. with Rev. A. J. Cain of Urania officiating. Interment took place at Chalk Hill Cemetery near Little Creek, under the direction of Upshaw Funeral Home of Jena.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. H. Baldridge of Little Creek, Hettie McCallum of Trout, Minnie Fletcher of Houston, Texas, and Alice Bryant of Newellton; and three sons, C. C. of Trout, James of Magnolia, Ark. and Orrin Cockerham of Ferriday.

William Cockerham
William Allen Cockerham, 93, of Summerville, died Monday, April 2 at the LaSalle General Hospital. He was a retired farmer.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Summerville Free Methodist Church with Rev. Alvery Tully, officiating.
Interment followed in the Summerville Cemetery with arrangements by Hixson Brother Inc. of Jena.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel Cockerham and Baxter Cockerham, both of Olla; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Shephard of Tullos and Mrs. Elizabeth Randall of Olla; one brother, R. C. Cockerham of Trout; 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Thelma Lipsey Tarver
Funeral services for Thelma Lipsey Tarver, 78, of Winnsboro, were held at 2 pm, Tuesday, Dec. 29, in the Chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home.
Internment was in Providence Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. John Williams and the Rev. C.F. Shirley officiating.
A native of Concordia Parish, she was born Sept. 29, 1909. She was a housewife. She died on Dec. 28, 1987 following a lengthy illness.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Boone, Winnsboro and Annette Berry, Monroe; four grandchildren, Terry Boone, Calhoun, Lloyd Boone and La Jan Williams, both of Winnsboro, and Amy Mobley, Monroe; four great grandchildren; three foster sons, Dean Boyte and Jonnie Boyte, both of Atmore, Ala., and Steve Boyte, Bastrop; five brothers, James Lipsey, Ivy Lipsey, Houma Lipsey and Aubrey Lipsey, all of Monterey and Burlon Lipsey of Deville; three sisters, Floy Delhoste and Melba David, both of Acme and Maxine Strebeck, Monterey.
Pallbearers were Lanny Lipsey, Paul Lipsey, J.D. Lipsey, Gerald Delhoste, Moise Tarver and Vince Strebeck, nephews of the deceased.

Selma "Cleo" Tarver
Selma "Cleo" Tarver, 89, of Burnet died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1998. Graveside services were held Oct. 15 at Odd Fellows Cemetery with Liz Forney officiating and under the direction of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home of Burnet.
A native of McNeal, Texas, she was born Nov. 1, 1908, the daughter of Martin H. and Pauline Robey Walden. She was a bookkeeper. She was a life member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Leta Green and husband Fred of Temple and Elizabeth Breeding of Burnet; three sisters, Opal Kaufman of Houston, Belle Bledsoe of Grandbury and Barbara McCollum of Stephenville. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Tarver and two sons, Wendell and Walden.

George DeLaughter
George DeLaughter, 81, of West Monroe rural route, died Saturday, at 7 a.m. in St. Joseph's home following a lengthy illness.
He was a retired lumber buyer and lived in the Twin Cities area all of his life.
Funeral services will be held from Peters Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with Rev. E.L.Tanner officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery on Jonesboro Road.
His only survivors are nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be James Martin, O.L.Weir, Bill Calloway, Ernest Hardy, Truman Chapman, Rubin Whitman.
