Former Resident Of Winn Parish Dies
Mr. Cecil Fred Tarver, age 76, 3 months, and 19 days, died at his home in
Franklin Parish near Winnsboro, Tuesday, November 18. Funeral services were
held Wednesday with interment in the White Swan Cemetery at Winnsboro with the
Rev. Henry Keys of Winnfield officiating.
Mr. Tarver was born in Mississippi and moved to Louisiana in early life. He
was reared in Winn Parish and was married to Adline Skinner, who died in 1932.
Surviving Mr. Tarver are his wife, Mrs. Emma Sullivan Tarver, and the
following daughters, Mrs. Etta Sanders, Jigger, La., Mrs. Minda White,
Winnfield, La., Mrs. Lydia Gilmore, Fort Necessity, La., and Mrs. Everlee
White, Winnfield.

Cecil Frederick Tarver, born 6 August 1865 in Pike County, Mississippi, was the s/o Samuel Wilson Tarver and Mary Ann Lilly, the grandson of Wilson and Melinda Tarver, of Amite Co., Ms., the great grandson of Judith Cockerham. Mary Ann Lilly was the d/o William Lilly & Elizabeth Miller.
Cecil Tarver married Virginia Adline Skinner, the d/o Isaac Francis Marion Skinner and Josephine Snowden, on 07 January 1890 in Winn Parish, Louisiana. There are six daughters known of this marriage. He married Emma Sullivan on 21 October 1924 in Winnsboro, Franklin Parish, La. He may also have married a Karen White, in Winnfield, Louisiana.
