Last Rites For Mrs. B. Tarver Held August 15
Mrs. Bertha Taylor Tarver, 60, of Pineville, died Friday, August 14, in a Pineville hospital following a brief illness.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Wardville Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Galloway, Rev. Jesse Norris, Rev. Edward Smith, and Rev. Kenneth Wall officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pineville.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Huey Lasyone of Winnfield and Mrs. L.B. Bemont of Houston, Texas; two sons, George Wilkerson and Luther Wilkerson, both of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. A.H. Jordan and Mrs. Willis Wilkerson, both of Winnfield; two brothers, J.A. Taylor and Arman Taylor, both of Shreveport; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Phillip Wilkerson, Charles Jordan, Glyn Wilkerson, Coy Ward, George O' Banion, E. Carter.
NOTES Bertha Taylor Tarver was the w/o George Russell Tarver, born 27 Feb 1898 in Rapides Parish, La. George Russell Tarver is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Pineville, La. He was the s/o Marion Crawford Tarver & Adeline Jolly, and grandson of Russell Marion Tarver and Aletha Ann Minerva Wilson. Russell Marion Tarver was s/o Samuel Wilson Tarver and Mary Ann Lilly.
