A homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She died at 4:38 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 79, a native of Baton Rouge and a graduate of Baker High School.
Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Visiting at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday, celebrated by the Rev. Maynard Hurst. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
Survived by her husband, Elmer "Blondie" Tarver; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Brenda Tarver; a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Brad Ballard; four sisters, Angie Territo, Mary Allelo, Edith Waller and Camella Sabella; grandchildren, Monique T. Arceneaux, Jeremy Tarver, Shawnesey T. Arceneaux, Kayla Tarver, Jillian Tarver and Courtney Tarver; and six great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Gini Fera Campanile; brothers, Tony, Lewis, Mike, Vince and Joe; and a sister, Mamie Thomas.
She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
