Man dead, police investigating

From South Belt Ellington Leader, Vol. 24, No. 29, August 19, 1999 (Houston, Harris co., Tx.)

A 47-year-old male, Adrian Cirilo, was found dead Monday morning in the lake behind Beverly Hills Park. Preliminarily the police presume the man drowned. His wife, Cheron Elizabeth Cirilo, said the couple had been estranged, but had reconciled the night before. They allegedly were celebrating the reconciliation on Sunday night when they lost the keys to the car.

The victim's wife told police her husband dove in the lake to look for the keys. Another witness told police after Adrian dived in, he surfaced and told his wife he loved her and then dove back in the water and drowned. The couple's address is in the 2600 block of Delafield. Police are awaiting the coroner's autopsy report to determine exact cause of death.

NOTES

The above is the obituary of my brother, Adrian Anthony Cirilo. His granddaughter's name is Sarah Anne Cirilo, born 10 June 1999 in Harris Co., Texas. She is the daughter of Amber Heath & Leslie Lael Cirilo.

Adrian was born at home by midwife, Mrs. Petra Roque, in Houston, Texas on 22 December 1952 to Adina Orlea "Dickie Bird" Tarver & Eleazar "Charlie" Cirilo.

Adrian also is survived by his son's mother Gloria Patricia "Pat" nee Sternberg (now married to Bob Shrader) and by Deborah Coble Cirilo, wife of 18 years. He and estranged wife (3) Cherone were married March 1999. All three marriages were in Houston, Harris County, Texas.

Our grandparents (all deceased) were Marie Annette Kelly & John Wesley Tarver (of Louisiana), and Guadalupe "Lupe" Guerra & Constancio Cirilo (of Houston, Texas). Constancio's name MAY be Eulogio Constantino Cirilo ... All documents unearthed to date are in the name Constancio, but family knowledge is his name is Eulogio Constantino Cirilo. The 1920 US Census for the State of Texas indicates my grandparents Cirilo were born in Old Mexico, which is consistent with what my grandmother Cirilo told me. Others believe them to have been born in south Texas. (Cirilo data will begin to go online soon. For those researching that line, drop me an email at lotus@cirilo.net if you need anything sooner.)

John Wesley Tarver was born 30 June 1897 in Centerpoint, Avoyelles Pa., La. He was the s/o Permelia Ann nee Tarver & James Wilson Tarver; the grandson of Mary Ann Lilly & Samuel Wilson Tarver. Permelia Ann Tarver was the d/o Adeline Walters & John Edward J. Tarver. Sam and John E.J. were sons of Melinda & Wilson Tarver, grandsons of Judith Cockerham.

Marie Annette Kelly was born 11 January 1903 in Selma, Grant Pa., La to John Robert Kelly, Jr. (s/o John R. Kelly & Mary Burnham) & Mary Elizabeth Reeves (d/o Mary Catherine Welch & Jephtha Daniel Reeves).

John & Marie Tarver also are buried at Pine Grove Cemetery in LaSalle Parish, Louisiana, as is our great-grandfather John Robert Kelly, Jr., and our father, Eleazar Cirilo. Other family members are buried there as well.
