Retired carpenter and farmer

WADLEY, Ga. -- Mr. Eddie Willie Tarver Sr., 90, of 469 Tarver St., died Tuesday, July 7, 1998, at Medical College of Georgia Hospital, Augusta.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Pineola Church of God with the Rev. Ronnie Harden officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Tarver, a native of Jefferson County, was a retired carpenter and farmer. He was a member of Pineola Church of God, where he was an associate minister.

Survivors include his wife, Lula M. Tarver; four sons, Willie Tarver Sr., Ben Tarver, Freddie Tarver and Curtis Tarver, all of Wadley; six daughters, Jenette Williams, Jacksonville, Fla., Essie M. Thomas, Katie McGhee and Elizabeth Heggs, all of New York, Betty Seabrooks, Connecticut, and Barbara Bowers, Wadley; a sister, Annie Jordan, New Jersey; and 22 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Tarver, Monroe Steven Tarver and Willie Tarver II.

Friends may call at the residence or at Hudson Mortuary.
